Some trips stick with me long after I unpack my suitcase. My recent Cunard Queen Mary 2 crossing did exactly that, in the best possible way. Instead of letting the photos sit in a forgotten folder, I turned one of my favorite moments into a wall art print, now available as a special piece of Cunard and cruise ship memorabilia for anyone who loves the ocean as much as I do.
How My Queen Mary 2 Crossing Turned Into a Wall Art Print
The idea for this print came to me while I was mid-Atlantic, soaking up that classic Cunard atmosphere. A few days into the voyage, I was taking photos of the horizon when one shot stopped me in my tracks.
The Queen Mary 2 feels sleek and modern, yet it carries all the tradition and history of old ocean liners. That mix of past and present really stayed with me. I wanted to bottle up that quiet, open-ocean feeling and the thrill of crossing by ship instead of flying.
Photos are great, but they often miss the mood. I wanted a single image that could sum up the whole crossing at a glance. That one photo, along with its simple, strong composition, became the base for this Queen Mary 2 wall art print.

The Moments Onboard That Inspired the Design
Certain scenes kept replaying in my head after I got home.
I remembered standing out on deck, the wind and sun on my face, with the bright Cunard red funnel glowing against a pale sky. The air was cold, the decks were almost empty, and the ship just hummed along through the Atlantic on the way to Southampton.
I kept thinking about how older Cunard and Queen Mary memorabilia pieces feel so timeless. People frame them, collect them, and pass them down. I wanted something that felt a bit like that, but tied directly to my own crossing.
This print is my way of holding onto that once-in-a-lifetime voyage and sharing it with others who feel the same pull of the sea.
Behind the Design for Fellow Cunard Fans

I created this design with Cunard and Queen Mary 2 fans in mind. If you have sailed with Cunard, or if you dream of a transatlantic crossing, I think you will spot familiar details right away.
I chose soft blues that echo both the sky and the Atlantic on a calm day. I used simple, clean lines to capture that solid, steady feeling you get when you are walking the open decks. The rail line tilts at the same angle you see when you lean forward and look toward the bow.
The overall style feels calm but strong, with a graphic focus on the famous funnel against a wide, open sky. It is meant to feel like standing alone on deck for a quiet moment, just you, the ship, and the sea.
The wall art print is available now on my website in small, medium, and large sizes, with framed and unframed options. You can find it at duanefisher.com or on Etsy at duanefisherart.etsy.com.
